I am requesting funds to attend the Get Your Teach On Conference in Los Angeles. This conference is all about learning how to implement engaging and rigorous lessons using research-based strategies. Many of my students are second language learners and require specialized instruction in both language arts and mathematics. Attendance at this conference will provide me with more tools to draw from to assist my scholars in becoming the best they can be! My first-grade students are eager and enthusiastic learners, and I want to give them the instruction they deserve! My Title I school strives to reach all students with the ultimate goal of creating learners for life. I want to do my part in achieving this goal by learning new strategies and refining my existing skills.
