This rug is divided by colors and lines. This gives each of my students a place to call their own while engaging in reading and whole-group lessons. My kindergartners will be learning about respecting one another's personal space as well as reading, writing, and 'rithmetic! The divisions on this rug would allow me to implement classroom management by calling them to/and releasing them from carpet time by colors and rows. Students will learn that even though their little bodies are running at full speed, they must learn to wait for permission to move. This carpet will help me help them learn those important social skills.
