I CANNOT wait for us to be back in the classroom together! In previous years, I have found huge success in providing students with a bin at each desk with mechanical pencils and whiteboard markers. Quality pencils let students focus on the math instead of forgotten supplies or dulling and broken pencils. Another highlight of our in-person routine is frequent math games. We’ll take a break from our normal curriculum, and I will use Teachers Pay Teachers to buy games that align with our current unit, like Math Bingo and Escape Rooms. For these fast-paced practice activities, we love using whiteboard markers. Students will write their work directly on their desk with an Expo. I can quickly and more easily monitor student understanding and progress as the work is evident. It is also easy for me to also write on and add feedback too. Students are more willing to make mistakes with easy to erase Expos. Having these essential resources ready to go for the first day of school will really help my students hit the ground running! Thanks so much!
