Majority of my students learn best in a hands-on environment. Currently, I have a single ukelele that I use occasionally in class. However, because I only have one, it is not conducive for teaching my students to play. I use it primarily to accompany a song, whether in the classroom or on stage. Having a class set of ukeleles will allow my students to practice known concepts and explore new concepts in a new and exciting fashion! For example, younger students can practice steady beat through the strumming motion, while older students can begin learning about chord qualitites and progressions! This will also encourage them to perform music in a way that most have never experienced before!
