These books will allow my students to form book clubs, collaborate together and form a community surrounded by their interest is certain books. Students will be given the opportunity to see and understand the books in more depth than the traditional method of checking out a book from the library. For many students, simply reading a book is not fun, easy or encouraging. 6th graders can have the opportunity to use comprehension skills, y’all about what they are reading along with asking questions to their peers when they don’t understand. Most importantly, students will learn to interact with books and begin to understand what it takes for them to fully understand a text.
