We are requesting a Kindle Fires to integrate technology, literacy, and writing. During our Literacy Center time, I have six stations that include: fine motor skills, word work, alphabet knowledge, handwriting, reading books, sight words, and a teacher station. These are all very important to lay a foundation in reading and writing for my amazing students. I have chosen materials that will support each kind of station that I need to provide. All of these items will be introduced through a teacher center. I will explain how to use the materials as a group of 3-4 students. Once the students understand how to use the items, I will include them into the different rotations. My students will not only benefit from the materials, but they will also benefit from being able to use the materials to work cooperatively with their peers. My end goal is to increase Literacy scores and to make it fun as well!
