A new rug in my classroom will be aesthetically pleasing, which will provide a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere for my students to learn. This new rug will contribute to learning in many different ways. My students will learn about colors, shapes, counting and explore their imagination during circle time. Circle time is one of the most important parts of the day it is when we come together as a group and read a story on the carpet. Storytelling is an important part of the language curriculum to build children's literacy skills. The tone and excitement in my voice will captivate my students which will create a positive attitude towards learning. Storytelling promotes an understanding, respect, and appreciation for different cultures. Telling stories is one of the most powerful ways that l have to influence, teach, and inspire my students.
