My students are lucky enough to have access to computers in the classroom. However, we spend WAYYYYY too much time getting computers out at the beginning of class and putting them away at the end of class because they are all in one big bin. We need some way to organize them and get to work quickly! The kid organizers may seem strange, but they will allow me to organize computers in numerical order so that each student may quickly find their computer at the start of class. This will save us valuable time in getting computers and starting class! I work hard to engage my students and prepare them to communicate effectively in the world outside of school. With tools like the doorbell and buzzers, we can play games, work cooperatively, and still make the most of our class time. One of my favorite games to engage students is “Epic Grammar Fails”, a game that shows them exactly why grammar is important by evaluating mistakes in the real world and evaluating how those errors impact meaning and reputation. With buzzers, we can play games like this without bothering other classrooms! The doorbell will allow me to call students back from group work in a calm way. With headphones and microphones, even the most shy students can find a way to communicate with a group using tech like flip grid. We can even work with students across the country! Our world is changing and I want my students to be prepared for anything. English class is all about communicating and that now goes far beyond writing essays. Please help my students learn to communicate effectively and have fun at the same time!
