Students will work together to code their micro.bits with project-focused, student-centered assignments. Most of my students do not have familiarity with extended hardware and how to program in this unique way. This will allow each student to manipulate hardware in an engaging, relevant way to enhance their learning of computational thinking and coding principles in our computer science class. The micro.bit increases student engagement and motivation in computer science and STEM, giving students access to 21st century skills. This hands-on device allows students to creatively collaborate and code their devices in a variety of ways, directly applying coding, creativity, and STEM principles.
