The classroom carpet is a common meeting place for the students and teacher. On our carpet we will: have our morning meeting, be introduced to new skills, skills will be practiced, stories will be told, and thinking takes place. Having a classroom rug will provide a space in my classroom where students will know they are welcomed and safe. The carpet in the classroom is a home inside the classroom, fostering learning and creativity for all students. Having a classroom carpet will help provide my students with a safe place to learn. It will also give students the opportunity throughout the day to learn somewhere other than their seats up close and personal.

About my class
