Music combines creativity, mathematics, literacy, science, and expression. My students are finding their creative sides and would like to learn an instrument that is not too complicated. They want to be able to play familiar songs and sing along. They will also have performance opportunities and will be encouraged to play along with our show choir. They will learn note names, rhythmic patterns, fingerings, how to tune the instrument and the rules of composition. Playing an instrument is a wonderful brain exercise that combines both sides of the brain while expressing emotion and calming behaviors. I'm excited for my students to have this opportunity.

About my class
