I am looking to gather basic classroom supplies that I can send to my students that will help them as they complete the tasks and activities that are being made available daily. Many of the activities require students to write out their work. I utilize many different strategies and supports to help my students extract the most from each learning experience. Distance learning has been a challenge for all of us. Our hands-on learning materials are not available to us. Thus, since remote learning I have been working hard to make our lessons exciting and accessible to all my students. Many of the families of my students did not have wifi or an appropriate device for distance learning. We are now at 100% attendance and each child is so excited to see one another, but they miss school. Even so school is not the same and having these basic materials will provide familiarity to our students during remote learning. These students are struggling with not being able to say goodbye to their teachers, classmates, and school due to the 4th-grade graduation being canceled. In these bags, students will get online learning essentials as well as a fun mad lib to cheer them up as they deal with the pandemic in Chelsea.
