Does everyone learn the same way? Absolutely not! Creating an environment where students have the choice to sit where they find the most comfortable is key to learning. Also, an organized space where they can find things easily is also essential. If they are not comfortable, safe, or feel respected, it becomes a barrier that is harder to crack as the year progresses. The flexible seating will help students feel comfortable and that their learning is of utmost importance. I want my students to understand how to make choices for their learning whether that be the seating, the presentation style, or how they obtain the information. Flexibility is a skill that ALL students need to learn as they navigate through society.

About my class
