With flexible seating, the students will be able to choose a comfortable seat, or fidget, to maximize their learning potential in small groups or guided reading groups. The Norwood stools will be used for seating around kidney tables in my classroom, where students can comfortably sit and get their “wiggles” out while reading or engaging in project-based learning. The set of Fidget Bands can be on every chair in my classroom so students can rest their feet or kick quietly without distracting others. Lastly, the Donut Ball inflatable seats can be a good option to sit for learning so the students can sit or bounce while engaging in stations or computer time. This small opportunity can make a giant leap in a student's learning! It is important for early learners to enjoy their learning while having fun and being comfortable! I believe that a welcoming classroom environment is extremely important in order to have a successful community, and this flexible seating will be a great opportunity to meet all students' needs. A welcoming classroom environment will enhance student-teacher relationships, camaraderie between students and increase student engagement!
