Students at this age are very active. With more standardized testing and less active play, these students struggle with staying focused. Providing my students with many options for seating is just one way we can help improve their ability to learn. My students love flexible seating from standing at a high table to laying on the floor. I currently have a few options but being a first-year teacher I wasn't sure what all I would need. I would love to have a room that is fully flexible seating with an option for every kind of learner. ~When the atmosphere encourages learning, learning is inevitable~. Your generous donations will help provide wobble chairs for my active learners. It will also help provide stadium chairs for sitting on the ground and giving my students a bigger space to work that their desktops. I will also use this money to replace my current cushions in the classroom. My ultimate goal is for my students to walk into my classroom and have it feel like home. I want to be a place they look forward to coming to everyday and learning because they feel safe and comfortable.
