I am requesting a range of diverse books to update my classroom library. Most books are outdated and well-loved, but in dire need of an upgrade. I want my students to find a love of reading and they need new books to show they are loved and valued too! My students deserve to have new, engaging books that are reflective of their families and backgrounds. Help me get books that are so desperately needed into my students' hands! I dedicate a time for independent reading each day because I know the importance of reading, especially for the population of students I serve. Many students do not have a book to read a book at home each night. With this project, my students will have the opportunity to get lost in a book that they can connect with.
