Imagine that you are a fourth grader and your teacher asks you to take out your book and then you have to sit at your desk to read. How boring! It hurts your back, because you are hunched over your book and your eyes are strained because you struggle to find a comfortable way to sit. It is very uncomfortable and it does not do a great job of creating a cozy environment to be able to enjoy your book. Enter Mrs Yates' cozy classroom, which will include a cozy rug and flexible seating! It is my goal to foster a lifelong love for reading that will stay with my students as they move through higher grade levels. In order to foster that love for learning through reading, I need to create the ultimate cozy reading nook. That's where you come in!
