Culinary students are both pastry and culinary minded! We have a high demand for learning more about sweets than ever before! Students will visit local chocolate shops around our area to get a understanding of how chocolate works, quality and texture of chocolate used in those shops. They get to see the growing, harvesting and processing during those visits. Once we return they will get the chance to create their own chocolates!
Students want to learn about chocolate because it makes everyone happy, no one can be upset or frustrated when they are eating chocolate.
Our items will help us in our lesson because they can make beautiful chocolate pieces in a easier way. Giving the students the creativity with fillings will put them over the moon! Students will first learn how to temper chocolate by hand so it gets the nice crack. Once we have mastered tempering, the tempering machine will be their best friend! We would like to be so good with chocolate making that we can do a fundraiser around Valentines Day with our chocolate pieces.
