Every student has a different learning style. Flexible seating allows them to choose a seat that best meets their needs. Some students are more comfortable standing while others might need to wiggle. When students are allowed to work in a way that is natural and comfortable to them, the better they are able to focus on their learning. Currently in my classroom, students have the opportunity to choose from wobble stools, crates, standing tables, floor pillows, step stools, as well as regular desk chairs. I have seen tremendous success with student engagement and focus since implementing flexible seating in my classroom. The donations of these items will help all of my students to be more actively engaged in their learning! The balance balls give students a chance to choose a seating option that is similar to a traditional desk chair. However, the balance ball chair provides them with opportunities to move and center their bodies. I have had great success and seen the positive impact flexible seating has had on my students. I would love to provide them with this new seating option! Thank you!
