Currently our students go through TONS of dry-erase markers in the course of a year. We use dry-erase boards and markers all day long to complete math problems in whole class and small group lessons. The markers don't last long, and create a lot of extra waste. Using digital writing boards will save us money in the long run, while also minimizing the impact we have on the environment by throwing away all of those markers! Even though the markers have been in use in my classroom for a few years, we have encountered many problems. Markers lose caps, they dry out when not in use, and they just don't last long. After a few years, the boards are difficult to clean, and they are showing their age. The writing boards are clean and colorful. They don't require any pens. They come with a storage pouch, and they can be used over and over again due to the replaceable battery. Digital writing boards will be a great alternative to using dry-erase boards in our classroom!
