My preschool students love to listen to stories and explore books, but our class library is currently less than inviting. The hard tile floor makes it difficult to cozy up with a good book. A rug will help make the space more inviting. My students love reading so much that the library often gets too crowded and some of my little readers love to spread out on our circle time rug. This rug has seen better days though and does not fit our whole class. My readers would love to sprawl out on new, clean rugs that have a space for everyone! Studies show time and time again how important it is for young children to be exposed to literature, to be read to, and to read and look at pictures on their own. With new collections of books, my students will be able to explore a more varied selection of good quality literature. Please help my preschool scholars nourish their love of reading!
