The students in my classroom want to learn but lack the ability to stay focused and engaged. The flexible seating will help them increase their attention and give them the ability to keep moving during the lessons. The students feel trapped and isolated when they are working at their desks. Flexible seating will increase engagement and support cooperative learning. Students who are comfortable in their learning environment tend to retain more of the skills and content they are being taught. The goal is to increase focus and allow the students to take charge of their learning. I believe having flexible seating will do just that.
