Having flexible seating in the kindergarten classroom has been proven to ensure that learning is happening at its fullest capacity. In kindergarten, wiggles are inevitable; therefore, having flexible seating will allow students movement during instruction, working all parts of the brain! The second big reason that flexible seating would be an incredible option for a kindergarten classroom is that it gives students the opportunity of choice and differentiation. Allowing a five-year-old to make decisions for themselves based on their own needs can be empowering and is a step in the right direction of forming leaders in all children from the beginning
