Science and Mathematics are areas in education with the largest achievement gaps. Yet many of our students career choices will have an emphasis on STEM degrees. Children are born to be natural scientists; they love to explore, create, and problem-solve to understand how the world works around them. My students love Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, but I find myself not having the proper resources to give them that hands-on experience. This project would allow me the opportunity to provide my students with 12 engaging STEM kits. These kits will allow them the opportunity to explore the exciting world of STEM. They will work with peers in small groups to develop and test out their creations. These kits will be the prefect addition to our STEAM block and will inspire them to create.
