Students will use these kits to see and feel rocks and minerals that they are supposed to identify. These will help them have a deeper understanding of how these rocks and minerals are formed. I also think having them do a hands on lab with these rocks and minerals will help them identify them faster and will help them understand the circumstances that allow these rocks and minerals to form. I remember taking this class and I found it very helpful when the teacher had the minerals and rocks for us to see and feel and draw our own conclusions. It was engaging and helped me understand better.
