As I kid I've always loved to explore. Now I want to give that opportunity to my students. With these items, my lesson will be more engaging. Imagine it's your first time learning about the solar system and the teacher pulls out a device and turns it on and nothing happens right away. Then she turns off the light and boom! The ceiling is displaying Earth. There is not one child in that room who won't be engaged in the lesson. Showing different pictures and videos is great but having those physical materials to touch and explore completely changes the engagement of the lesson. Kids learn by doing. I want my science lessons to be fun. I want my student to never stop exploring, to never stop asking question, and to go and declare they are scientists!
