These books will provide readers of all interest levels and abilities to explore the concept of fairy tale adaptations through a modern day version of classic fairy tales. This story provides students that have lower interest levels in reading a magical tale of Hansel and Gretel that is sure to grip them from page one while providing a brand new version of a tale so many readers have enjoyed throughout the last several hundred years. Our fairy tale unit revolves around the many ways and reasons fairy tales have changed over the years. This novel will provide students with a modern day example of a fractured fairy tale in a fantastical world of magic and mayhem. Through this novel, students will see how a classic Grimm fairy tale can be modified for a modern audience through imaginative storytelling and new unnoticed connections between several different tales.
