Students need technology! I teach at a small charter school in Northern Arizona. They have yet to have Chromebooks for all their classrooms and with about 28 students per class and only 40 Chromebooks for the entire school, it is sometimes hard to checkout the Chromebooks. Having computers in the classroom will help students to be able to use websites such as Lexia which helps them to make and track reading goals as well as tests their comprehension of stories that they have read. Another website that the students can use is Freckles which will help students to be able to learn and fill gaps in their education, with an ability for me to track them from my own account. Students will also use the technology to write and create their own opera. Another thing that they will be able to do is research projects.
