If I were able to have enough scientific calculators for each student in my class to have their own to use, then I would be able to teach some of the more complex equations in chemistry, such as equations that use logarithmic functions. I also will not have to worry about students being able to perform mathematical calculations on tests or quizzes without the use of their cell phones. There are many algebra based problems that students need to do calculations for in order to come up with an answer to a problem. Calculators would help my students be able to focus more on what they are actually solving and less on the plugging and chugging of numbers.
