These three square tables appear nondescript, yet they will be pillars of learning in my room. Life is full of team work, so I often have my students peer review each other’s assignments and analyze documents collaboratively. By having these raised areas in which students can stand, I can avoid the disruption that moving desks and then returning them at the end of class causes. These will allow me to use class time more efficiently. Furthermore, students will have a chance to stand and get their blood a pumping and their brains a working while they hash out projects and learn how to collaborate!
