Young children have an extremely difficult time sitting still. These flexible seats will allow them to move appropriately while also remaining on task. Our classroom has a few floor cushions and all the students love using them. We can use wobbly stools, yoga balls, and more floor cushions as seating options. Flexible seating such as wobbly stools and floor cushions will enable my students to sit comfortably, while still allowing for movement and getting those "wiggles" out as they focus on their work. My classroom environment is set up so that every part of the room can be used for learning. The students will be able to choose which seating option is most comfortable for them. They may also choose to change their seat depending on the type of assignment. The flexible seating option will help with classroom management and small group work.
