These tools will help my students become more fluent and confident speakers in both their native language as well as English. The children love hearing their voices and sharing their favorite books with friends and family. One of the best parts of this project is it will empower the shy, nervous student to take risks and share their reading selections with others in a safe environment. My goal is that when my students grow up, no matter what they choose to do in life, they will all feel confident to boldly speak up for what they believe. Being able to communicate effectively is life skill that will help my students use their voice and increase knowledge acquisition at the same time. The headphones will be essential in helping students acquire fluency through reading and listening to others and their inflections, speed, intonations, and expressions.
