A whole group meeting area is essential for students to gather in receiving direct instruction in reading, writing, phonics, and mathematics. Typically the students have assigned seats based on the needs of each individual student. This Fun With Phonics rectangle carpet will allow each student to join and participate in the direct instruction in a way that will maximize their learning! Second graders appreciate their sense of individual space while participating in a large group. The fact that there will be a bit of extra space on the rug will allow those students who require a bit of extra space to maximize their learning will prove to be very beneficial for all!

About my class
