I want my students to feel safe, inspired, and confident when they enter our classroom and I have found that students are best supported when: - They have seating options that meet their bodies' needs and allow them to feel empowered, comfortable, and physically stimulated so that they can focus their minds on learning. - The classroom feels inclusive, supportive, and welcoming, and if they need a break to express frustration or anger, they can do so by advocating for themselves and finding a different spot in the classroom to focus and re-start. - They have access to different sensory tools like foot bands, sensory cushions, and soft pillows that can help them express energy physically thus allowing them to maintain focus and emotional and mental energy.
