Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning, be comfortable, make the choices that work best for them, and makes learning fun. Currently, I have a few wobble cushions, balls, and wobble stools that my students are choosing to use as their form of seating. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. My students are more focused on their work, more engaged, and allows them to move. Many flexible seating options stimulate students’ sense of touch which helps students focus and process information. I truly believe in the magic of flexible seating and I hope that donors choose can help me create more flexible seating in my classroom.
