We are learning computer science, I would like to get some current books about jobs for students. I would also like to get them some books on current sports of their interest like dance, soccer, and gymnastics. I want the students to know there is a whole world out there beyond our rural town. Books can take students to far away places. I also want the books to help students to dream about their future. These books would be a way for students to step out of their small world and into the bigger world around them. Students need to be able to ask questions about the world around them. They need to be able to use the information from the texts to gain more knowledge. These books will help our students with these tasks. 1.T.1 Formulate questions about a personal interest or a curricular topic. 1.C.1 Use evidence to investigate questions. 1.S.1 Interact with content presented by others. 1.G.1 Continually seek knowledge.
