These calculators are for my middle school students, grades 6, 7, and 8th. Some of my students struggle with basic math. Calculators will help them with the multi-step problems and to focus on the concept we are learning and not the basic math. I find that my students are more willing to take risks and complete more complex problems when they are allowed to use a calculator. These calculators will help my students increase math scores. If practice makes prefect, how can my students practice for their state testing if they don't have the same calculators to use daily. Right now we don't have enough calculators for every student, they have to rely on sharing. I want all of my students to have the same opportunity to be successful in math class. Please help us get a full classroom set of calculators. I believe that giving all of my students the same materials year round will greatly benefit them.
