It is very difficult to keep students motivated and focused on a lesson or on independent work when they are worried about not being able to charge their computer that has 4% battery remaining. Durham Public Schools is not able to replace broken or lost chargers and are not planning on doing so. My students cannot continue to grow academically when they are vying for chargers and having to constantly ask other students to borrow one. Having classroom chargers to use in our classroom would prevent the need to walk around the room asking individual students to borrow a charger.
