When kids are able to move up and down and control their movements in a positive way, children will be able to produce more and retain more information. When a group of kids are working in small groups, they can either be sitting at a loft setting, desks, or on balance yoga chair balls. The kids are able to get up and get down to help them stay on task. When there are options for the kids, they can make better choices and know how their body works to produce more of an effective assignment and be in a better frame of mind when they are comfortable and at ease. All of my students are ecstatic to see the wonders of being able to sit in non-orthodox seating, to be able to move and stretch while learning and having fun. Positive movement and seating has been proven for our students to retain the information longer and become even more effective learners. It will benefit our students by learning at their own pace and having a comfortable style for their bodies to stretch out and bounce when needed. The yoga chairs will be such an asset to the kids so they are not just secluded to broken desks that are not their height nor can they fit in, sometimes. It has been seen by many of our staff and teachers how the yoga balance chairs have helped students in other classes or settings and how much improvement the kids' work has increased and the heightened engagement it has brought to their studies across subject areas.
