The books and headphones will help my students dive into our nonfiction unit and be able to have a rememberable experience. The books will help to enhance the writing skills we have been striving to achieve. The headphones will help students experience a new aspect of technology as they use these headphones to plan, create, edit, and present their animal fact presentations. The books selected will help my students have a variety of choices to personalize their nonfiction writing to their interests. They will be a great aid to pulling facts and rewriting them into their own facts. Students learn so much from nonfiction writing. They're able to understand nonfiction writing, the diagrams, and structure. Once students have gathered their animal facts for their non fiction report they will use the headphones to create a presentation to present to the first graders. This will motivate the first graders to work hard in their writing so they're prepared for second grade. It will also give the second graders in my class the confidence they need in their writing. Recording their presentation is something new for kids, therefore its exciting and motivating. Student will use the colored pencils and markers to finalize their projects into a physical document for all students in the school to see and admire. The purpose of these supplies are not only to aid in my second grades students learning but also to inspire other students in the school.
