Research has proven that if you give students flexible seating arrangements it can help increase collaboration, help students focus, reduce extended sitting, and help enable new teaching strategies. "How can we expect our students to solve problems and make choices independently if we constantly solve their problems and make their choices for them?" Every student is different, by incorporating flex seating you are giving the choice back to the student of how they can learn best. Not every student is capable of sitting still in a desk for hours at a time, let alone 8. An uncomfortable student, is a distracted and unproductive student. Help me help these students become comfortable in my classroom and increase the learning abilities!
