We have made a very significant shift in Health class for the better, focusing as much on mental health, social and emotional health as we do on nutrition and safety. We have added in a large Mindfulness component to the curriculum and these mats will allow the students to partake easier by laying on the mat rather than on hard tile floors. Mindfulness and mental health is an important part of childhood that often gets overlooked in the push for better academics; a student cannot learn at their best potential without meeting their mental and emotional health needs first.
