This pandemic has had a huge impact on all of my students. There have been several disruptions in their learning due to quarantines and remote learning. As a result, there is a higher need for interventions to help bridge gaps. By donating to our project, you will be helping provide tools for my students to use during our daily independent rotations. It is important for my students to be fully engaged with meaningful activities that they are working on independently during this time, so that I can facilitate intervention groups for students in need. The Yak Pack: Comics and Phonics books are fun books that encourage independent reading and they have comprehension and phonological awareness practice at the end of each story. Students will be able to use the finger trackers with these books to help strengthen reading skills while avoiding skipping lines and the whisper phones will help students to read quietly to themselves. These resources will not only allow me the time and ability to work with students in smaller groups, but they will also support my students in becoming independent readers. Thank you so much from the very bottom of my heart for your consideration in funding my project!
