With these books and current event magazines my students will be able to put their hands on texts they enjoy and can learn from! They will be able to discuss real world issues in small groups and debate ideas for how to solve them! It is my goal to foster both a love of reading and human compassion by offering rich literature and current event articles. Finally, I believe in the power of having an actual book in your hand. Students will grow as learners when they are able to use their own copies of articles as evidence for their opinions. I believe in the power of actual books and articles that are tangible and not just digital. I want students to begin to develop a true sense of empathy and compassion for the world around them by reading and discussing a wide range of important topics.
