My students benefit from a variety of materials that include descriptions, explanations, as well as visuals for my lower readers and ELL students. To immerse students in different informational text will help engage them in a part of history that is taught through materials other than a textbook. This material will enable them to compate facts to the historical fiction novels they are reading. This material will help students connect the subjects of Social Studies and Literature together to analyze and synthesize information and content about an important part of history.
