JJAEP students often lack the critical thinking skills necessary to succeed in high school mathematics. My primary focus while students are in my classroom is to help them learn to problem solve. These resources will supply a variety of opportunities for students to stretch their minds to become problem solvers who are ready for higher level mathematical thinking. JJAEP students are at high risk for ending up in the prison system as adults. The resources I am requesting are designed to help them learn to think critically - not just about math, but about life. To hopefully realize that they can make better choices. And to equip them with the skills to make that realization a reality.

About my class
