In our classroom, my students participate in stimulating activities and lessons built around the functional curriculum. Communication and understanding social behavior often prove difficult for my students. Sensory activities help my students improve interactions with each other while increasing engagement with learning content. Sensory activities and flexible seating options provide students with the opportunity for functional communication and allows for a safe area to continue to gain a better understanding of personal and social behaviors. Flexible seating allows my students to make choices about their learning environment. Students are asked to communicate their desired seating choice via their individual communication method. The requested materials will help provide new and exciting choices for my students!
