The goal of this wonderful project is to build up my classroom library with engaging picture books that will expose my students to a variety of diverse, multi-cultural and multi-genre texts. We will read a text each week and have a group discussion on the different elements of reading. These picture books have the power to open a whole new world of reading and perspective among my students. We will use these books to question, wonder, predict, analyze, visualize and make connections with the world around us. These books will build confident, curious readers in the classroom and encourage reading!
