I want to create an economically challenging learning environment for my students. My goal is to use these requested books to expand my classroom library. Students will read about economics through scenarios, work collaboratively to identify the key concepts and apply this knowledge to the content they are currently learning. Literacy develops critical thinking skills and encourages students to problem solve. Both of the books I am requesting will be used to introduce economic concepts to students in a format that they can easily understand and to build student understanding of economics through collaboration with their peers. Books will be used to create stations for students to engage in authentic application of economics
