I am so excited for my students to get their little hands on these tablets! My students, being 5 and 6, love listening to stories. I just recently bought 40 QR codes of popular books that my students can listen to. These include books like, "Where the Wild Things Are", "Are You my Mother", "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and many more! With these tablets my students can choose whichever story they are interested in and listen to it! Not only will they be able to listen to a story they chose, they will also be given the opportunity to leave a response to that story using a fantastic app called flip grid! Flip grid allows the students to record a short response to a story they listened to and then post it on our class page. Once they have posted it other students are able to view their response and leave comments or add on to the original post. This is a great way to incorporate collaboration into our technology driven world!
